Opening and closure of Accounts

Refunds Man assist new owners to open Assessment Rate accounts after the transfer of the property to their names.

After the Rates account is opened, services of water, electricity, sewer, and refuse are inked to the Rates account with effect from the date of transfer of the property in the name of the Purchaser.

Assessment rates

Refunds Man assists with all Assessment Rate billing issues.

These include

• Billing of Assessment Rates on the incorrect value.
• Billing of Assessment Rates on the incorrect category.
• Failure of Council to implement a change due to an objection outcome or a valuation appeal outcome.
• Change in tariffs for billing of Assessment Rates due to change from 1 use to another use for example

Change in use from business to residential use

Change from vacant land to Residential or Commercial use

Change of Sectional title billing from Business to Residential (if use is Residential)

Change from developer to Body Corporate accounts.
